In 1996, in Rostock, Germany, the cities of the Baltic Sea region signed an agreement known as the Baltic Sail. The main idea that guided the signatories was to promote the maritime heritage of the European Baltic Sea, and above all, to continue the "Traditional Baltic shipping from port to port".

Baltic Sail Gdansk 2023 - a cruise on the barkentine Loth Lorien around the Port of Gdansk and the Bay of Gdansk.
