Marina Gdynia
Marina Gdynia has been there in one form or another for almost as long as Gdynia itself (which is barely 80 years, by the way). During the communist times, the yacht harbour was divided between number of yachting clubs (often associated with large factories or mass organisations like Scouting). Currently, the marina functions as one unit and has 120 places for visiting boats (a berth is allocated by the Harbour Master on arrival) up to 20m in length and 3m in draught. The facilities are available in one block for the visiting yachts, while more leisurely provision (eg bars and clubs) exists in the old buildings, as well as a number of specialists yacht workshops, shops and services while the whole of Gdynia is within walking distance.
